“With transfers and stuff, I was very happy at Norwich to be honest, and I’m still happy at Norwich,” Toure told Australian outlet Football360. “So I feel like those things not going through really didn’t affect me in any way.”
He added, “There were some truths, some teams actually wanted me or contacted my agent. But at the end of the day, I was very happy here.”
Philippe Clement's Impact on Toure
Toure credits much of his development to working under Norwich City boss Philippe Clement, who he believes has taken his finishing to the next level.
“He said, Mo, I see you take a lot of wild shots. You just put your foot through the ball,” Toure explained. “Sometimes you score, but look at how many times you miss or how many times it comes off a defender.”
Toure emphasized the importance of precision, stating, “Just put it in the corner and the keeper has no chance.” He appreciates Clement's coaching style, wanting him to push for continuous improvement even when performing well.
