Norwich City Await Kaide Gordon's Debut as He Builds Fitness

Norwich City manager Johannes Hoff Thorup praises loan signing Kaide Gordon for his skills but emphasizes the need for improved fitness before his debut.

Norwich City boss Johannes Hoff Thorup has praised Liverpool loan star Kaide Gordon for his finishing quality, while also indicating that the talented winger is not yet ready for a full match. The 19-year-old has garnered attention during his time at Liverpool, making seven senior appearances and scoring once. To aid his development, Liverpool facilitated a season-long loan move for Gordon to Norwich City on transfer deadline day.

Thorup commended Gordon's dribbling skills and finishing abilities but noted his current lack of physicality. The Norwich manager stated that while Gordon is a promising player, he does not possess the fitness required to compete for a full 90 minutes at this stage. Thorup mentioned at a recent press conference, "He’s a good player, good dribbling and finishing qualities. He needs some physicality and fitness, so he’s not ready to start for us yet. We can see what he’ll bring, but he’s not ready for 90 minutes yet."

As it stands, Gordon has yet to make his debut for the Canaries this season, and he will be working to improve his fitness in hopes of contributing to the team in the upcoming weeks.
