Crnac Trusts Coaches as Comeback Nears

Ante Crnac is relying on Norwich City's coaching staff to determine his return to competitive action following a lengthy recovery from injury. The young forward is eager to contribute to the team's promotion ambitions this season.

Crnac Trusts Coaches for Comeback Timing

Ante Crnac has placed his full faith in Norwich City's coaching staff to decide when he is ready to return to competitive action.

After sustaining a cruciate knee ligament injury against Derby last October, the young Croatian has endured a tough 10-month road to recovery. Read more about Marcondes Seals Move to Melbourne City After Norwich Exit.

Crnac marked his comeback in the Canaries' final pre-season outing against Cambridge United, replacing Mo Toure at half-time. He has since played in two internal games as he continues to build up his match fitness.

Building Match Fitness After Injury

"I've been training outside for four or five months. I'm feeling ready, but, of course, it's different playing games to training," he said, speaking at a Fan Hub event. "The day after, I was a little bit more stiff than I would normally be, but it's good."

The coaches have planned everything, and Crnac trusts their decisions regarding his readiness. "We will see when I might return. We don't have a time frame. We just train harder and harder and see how my body reacts and how my knee reacts," he added.

Crnac's Versatility and Team Goals

Versatile across the attacking areas, Crnac has played multiple positions during his time at Carrow Road and is happy to contribute wherever needed again this season. "I see myself in attack. I think I can play in all the positions in attack, and whatever position the coach picks for me, I will try to give 100 percent," he stated. Optimism is building under Philippe Clement about what could be achieved this season, but for Crnac, the sole aim is simply to get back playing. "Since I signed here, our goal every season has been promotion, so this season is no different. As a team, we believe in that," he concluded.
