Nielsen and Riddersholm Target Danish Head Coach Role

Former Norwich City figures David Nielsen and Glen Riddersholm are in contention for the vacant head coach position at Boldklubben in Denmark, following the club's recent managerial change.

Ex-Canaries Nielsen and Riddersholm linked to Danish job

Two former Norwich City figures, David Nielsen and Glen Riddersholm, have been linked with the vacant head coach position at Boldklubben in Denmark. The club parted ways with Kasper Lorentzen at the weekend and are reportedly considering both candidates for the role.

According to The Pink'un, Nielsen and Riddersholm have held talks with the Danish Second Division side. Both are currently working as TV experts on TV 2 Sport.

Riddersholm’s coaching background and recent roles

Glen Riddersholm served as assistant to Johannes Hoff Thorup during the 2024-25 season before their dismissal near the campaign’s end. His managerial CV includes spells at AGF and FC Midtjylland, two well-known Danish clubs.

Riddersholm’s experience at top-flight Danish clubs could be a key factor in Boldklubben’s interest as they look to rebuild following their recent coaching change.

David Nielsen’s Norwich and managerial history

David Nielsen played for Norwich City between 2002 and 2003, making 35 league starts and scoring 14 goals after a successful loan spell. The 49-year-old Dane has been out of management since his sacking by AC Horsens in March.

Nielsen’s playing connection to the Canaries and his recent availability have made him a notable candidate for the Boldklubben role, according to The Pink'un.
