Crnac Targets Competitive Return After Long Injury Layoff

Ante Crnac is set to make his competitive return for Norwich City after a lengthy recovery from an ACL injury sustained last October. The young attacker is eager to impress head coach Philippe Clement.

Ante Crnac's Road to Recovery

After 10 months of recovery, Ante Crnac is ready to get back to doing what he loves most - playing football.

The young Croatian has endured a long road back after rupturing his ACL last October during Norwich's meeting with Derby County at Pride Park.

The setback came just months into his second season in England, following his 8.5m arrival from Polish side Rakw Czstochowa in August 2024.

Excitement for Competitive Action

Yet to feature competitively under head coach Philippe Clement, who arrived a month after Crnac's injury, the 22-year-old attacker is now ready to show the Belgian what he can offer.

“It’s been a perfect few months of rehabilitation for me; I’m almost back in full and ready to play. It should be a couple of weeks now,” Crnac told the club's official programme.

Crnac marked his long-awaited comeback in the Canaries pre-season finale against Cambridge United last week, featuring for 45 minutes.

Support Through Challenges

“I was very down when it happened, but I had some good people around me: my team-mates, family and, of course, I believe in God,” Crnac said.

Looking back now, it’s all good and part of the process. I want the challenge of this season and can’t wait to get going again, he added.

“I love playing football, and I have done so from when I first started kicking a ball around at four years old. I just enjoy what I get to do every day at this club,” Crnac concluded.
