Rangers chase Dundee defender Luke Graham
Rangers are actively pursuing Dundee centre-back Luke Graham, according to TEAMtalk. The 22-year-old has impressed this season with his composure, aerial ability, and preference for playing on the left side of defence. He earned a provisional call-up to Steve Clarke’s Scotland squad ahead of the 2026 World Cup but missed out on the final selection.
Rangers have a verbal agreement over personal terms with Graham and are keen to add homegrown defensive reinforcements. However, they face competition from other clubs, including Celtic, who have shown interest but are less advanced in their pursuit.
Norwich and Portsmouth also in the mix for Graham
Norwich City and Portsmouth remain interested in Luke Graham, with Norwich having made contact regarding a potential move. The Canaries are monitoring the defender closely as a possible left-sided option under manager Phillips Clement, who previously managed at Rangers. Portsmouth had bids rejected in January but continue to pursue the player.
Graham reportedly favours a move to England’s Championship, aiming to eventually play in the Premier League. This ambition could be a hurdle for Rangers but an advantage for Norwich and Portsmouth.
Other clubs tracking Graham
Beyond the Old Firm and English sides, clubs such as QPR, Sheffield United, and Derby County have shown past interest. European teams including Red Bull Salzburg and Schalke have also sent scouts to watch Graham regularly.
Dundee hold strong on valuation amid interest
Dundee manager Steven Pressley has acknowledged the growing attention on Luke Graham but insists any transfer would require a substantial fee. With Graham under contract until 2027, Dundee are in a strong position and are holding out for offers exceeding £1.5 million.
Graham remains focused on finishing the season strongly at Dens Park despite the speculation. His consistent performances have raised expectations, leaving the decision between joining an Old Firm club or testing himself in the Championship to be made soon.
