Abu Kamara Returns to Portsmouth
Norwich City academy graduate Abu Kamara has completed his return to Championship rivals Portsmouth.
The 23-year-old attacker has signed a three-year deal at Fratton Park in a transfer reportedly worth £2.5 million from Premier League side Hull City.
Kamara's Impressive Loan Spell
This move marks a reunion with Portsmouth for Kamara, who spent the 2023/24 season on loan with the club, contributing significantly to their League One title triumph with 10 goals in 52 appearances.
After returning to Norwich, Kamara was expected to play a key role under manager Johannes Hoff Thorup but submitted a transfer request, leading to a move to Hull in a deal exceeding £5 million.
Portsmouth Boss Excited for Reunion
Portsmouth manager John Mousinho expressed his excitement about Kamara's return, stating, "We are thrilled to have Abu back at Pompey. It's no secret that we've wanted him to return for some time."
Kamara, who spent 11 years with Norwich, is now set to feature when Portsmouth hosts QPR this weekend in their Championship opener, followed by a reunion with Norwich City at Carrow Road on October 17.
