Norwich City Pursue Liam Manning as Leading Candidate for Managerial Vacancy Despite Pep Lijnders Reports

Norwich City are actively pursuing Liam Manning of Bristol City as a top contender for the managerial role, despite reports of Pep Lijnders interview.

According to reports, Liam Manning of Bristol City is emerging as a leading contender for the Norwich City manager vacancy.

The 39-year-old has attracted considerable attention following an impressive season with the Robins, guiding them to a sixth-place finish in the Championship - Bristol City's best performance since 2008.

While no formal approach has been made, reports from Bristol Live suggest that Manning’s name is firmly in the frame to succeed Johannes Hoff Thorup. Thorup was dismissed in April after a disappointing campaign that saw Norwich finish 13th in the league. Manning, a former Norwich academy graduate who began his professional career at Ipswich Town, is reportedly drawing interest from several clubs, including Leicester City.

Norwich City are speaking to a range of candidates as part of their hunt for a new manager. Former Liverpool assistant Pep Lijnders has reported to have been interviewed for the role.

An announcement is expected before the end of the month.
