Uriah Djedje Joins Hampton & Richmond
Norwich City youngster Uriah Djedje has completed a loan move to National League South side Hampton & Richmond Borough.
The 20-year-old defensive midfielder joins the Beavers on an initial one-month deal, marking his first move away from Carrow Road.
Djedje's Journey Through Norwich Academy
London-born Djedje joined Norwich in the summer of 2021, initially linking up with the Under-16s before quickly progressing through the academy ranks.
He featured for both the Under-18s and Under-21s before signing his first professional contract in March 2023.
After regularly training with the first team, Djedje was involved in pre-season with Johannes Hoff Thorup's senior squad in the summer of 2024.
His progress was rewarded with an improved contract, extending his stay in Norfolk until 2027.
Excitement for Senior Football Experience
Djedje is yet to make a senior appearance for the Canaries but was named among the substitutes for seven Championship fixtures under Thorup.
With more than 80 youth appearances, including 13 outings for the Under-21s last season, Djedje is ready to experience men's football for the first time.
“I'm happy to have signed for HRBFC and grateful to the manager and club for giving me the chance to showcase myself,” he said.
Hampton currently sits 21st in the National League South and Djedje could make his debut this weekend against Torquay United.
He joins Ken Aboh among Norwich's young players currently out on loan, with Aboh having joined Boston United earlier this month.
A statement on the Canaries' official website confirmed the midfielder's switch, wishing him all the best during his loan spell, according to The Pink'un.
