Narcis Pelach Appointed Stoke City Manager: Norwich City Boss Expresses Support

Norwich City head coach Johannes Hoff Thorup expresses his support for Narcis Pelach's promotion to manager at Stoke City, marking a significant step in Pelach's career.

Norwich City boss Johannes Hoff Thorup has expressed his delight at first-team coach Narcis Pelach securing the full-time manager’s position at Stoke City. This follows the announcement that Pelach, along with goalkeeping coach Paul Clements and performance analyst Harrison Glew, have departed to join Stoke City’s coaching staff.

Pelach's promotion to manager at the bet365 Stadium has been met with well-wishes from Thorup, who stated in a press conference: “I’m delighted for Narcis. That is a very big job for him and also well deserved. There are no hard feelings at all. We only wish him the best, and also the two other guys joining him.”

Despite the challenges posed by the departures, Thorup noted that preparations were already in place to replace the outgoing coaches. He added: “He has been quite open from the start… that he had that ambition to go out and try to be a head coach somewhere. That means we have had the time to prepare and the time to be quite clear on what we want and how we want it to be if and when Narcis was about to leave.”

In the interim period, Norwich City have appointed Declan Rudd and Joe Shulburg to assist Thorup in coaching duties as they move forward in the season.
