Sargent Set for £21m Move to Wolfsburg as Talks Heat Up

Norwich City are on the verge of finalising a £21 million transfer for star striker Josh Sargent to Wolfsburg.

Norwich City are reportedly on the brink of finalising a significant £21 million transfer deal with Bundesliga club Wolfsburg for their star striker, Josh Sargent.

Negotiations have been ongoing for several weeks between Wolfsburg and Norwich's sporting director, Ben Knapper. Sargent has expressed a strong desire to leave Carrow Road this summer, and according to Sky Sports' Rob Dorsett, discussions are at an advanced stage. The striker is eager to return to Germany, where he previously played for Werder Bremen.

Since joining Norwich in 2021 following their relegation from the Bundesliga, Sargent has made a considerable impact on the team. He arrived for £8 million and has since made 133 appearances, netting 48 goals. His performances earned him the Player of the Season award for the 2024-25 campaign, underscoring his importance to the squad. His impressive statistics have drawn interest from several clubs, including Burnley; however, indications suggest that Sargent is leaning towards a transfer to Wolfsburg.

With the transfer window nearing its close, Norwich City appear open to considering offers for the 25-year-old striker, provided they meet the club's valuation.

Sargent's departure could also prompt Norwich to reassess their attacking options, potentially leading to new signings.
