Forbes Shines as Kings Lynn Target Vital Points

Brandon Forbes continues to impress during his loan at Kings Lynn, scoring twice in three games, including a dramatic equaliser against Peterborough Sports.

Brandon Forbes is making a significant impact during his loan spell at Kings Lynn Town, having scored two goals in just three appearances since joining the National League North club last month. In a recent match, Forbes came off the bench to net a dramatic equaliser in stoppage time against Peterborough Sports on Good Friday. This impressive performance followed his debut, where he found the net in a convincing 3-0 victory over South Shields at The Walks.

Manager Paul Caddis has shown considerable faith in Forbes, starting him in the first two matches after his arrival. However, Forbes faced a brief wait for his next opportunity, remaining an unused substitute in the games against Leamington and Spennymoor. Caddis expressed his satisfaction with Forbes' contribution against Peterborough, particularly praising the quality of his equaliser. "It was a great strike," Caddis remarked, as reported by Lynn News. "I didn't think it was set up for him to shoot, to be honest, but I'm glad he did. It was an unbelievable strike and yeah, I'm really pleased that he's managed to get his goal." Read more about Norwich City’s Agent Fees Surge Amid Transfer Strategy.

The manager also addressed the challenges young players face, especially during the busy schedule of the season. "He started the South Shields game, got his goal and that's what happens when you have young players. It's difficult, especially this time of year, with the different surfaces they're used to playing on, but their attitude's been great," Caddis noted.

Forbes is not the only Norwich City talent on loan at Kings Lynn; Harmony Okwumo, a right-back, has also joined the Linnets until the end of the season. Okwumo has quickly earned Caddis' trust, starting all four matches leading up to the draw against Peterborough, where he was substituted in the second half.

Caddis highlighted the importance of experience in high-pressure matches, such as local derbies. "Obviously Harmony's played every game as well, but I just felt today that we wanted to get as much experience on the pitch as we could in terms of it being a derby and coming here, I knew it was going to be difficult," he explained.

As Kings Lynn strive to secure their position in the National League North for another season, the contributions from both Forbes and Okwumo will be vital in achieving a strong finish to the campaign.
