Paris Maghoma's Key Role at Norwich
Paris Maghoma has been tipped to become a key component as Norwich City target a return to the Premier League.
The attacking midfielder added creativity to Philippe Clement's side after arriving from Brentford in January, impressing former Canaries coach Narcis Pelach in the process.
Competition for the Number 10 Spot
Maghoma will rival Anis Ben Slimane and Oscar Schwartau for the number 10 role, with City hoping that continuity helps build on last season's progress.
Pelach was impressed by what he saw of the 25-year-old at Carrow Road last season and believes City's decision to prioritize quality over quantity in their young squad is the right one.
"He's very exciting. I think he's a great player. I think he has some level of creativity and that really excites a coach, a fan, because there's a lot of talent there," Pelach told The Pink'un.
Clement's Impact and Championship Success
Clement's impact at Carrow Road last season was clear to see, helping City rise from 23rd in the table to a ninth-place finish. Only Southampton took more points than them since the start of 2026.
Pelach believes Clement's nous and experience are key to any Championship success for City next season.
"I've had two years fighting for promotion from the Championship to the Premier League - one with Huddersfield that we lost in Wembley against Forest and then another one with Norwich," he said.
In the Championship, the basics decide games. That's why experienced managers often have the edge because they don't forget them. Younger coaches can be tactically detailed and look good on paper, but the fundamentals are key.
With games coming thick and fast, you also need to keep the dressing room strong mentally and have a deep squad. Otherwise injuries hit, the level drops and momentum goes.
