Hugh Jackman in talks to buy Norwich stake

Hollywood actor Hugh Jackman has confirmed he is currently in discussions with Norwich City’s board to purchase a stake in the club. The Wolverine star, a lifelong Canaries fan, revealed the talks during an interview on TalkSport.

Jackman said, "I'm very, very interested - and talking about it right now. You're the first one to know that. There's a little exclusive. Good on Ryan, you do your thing, I'm all about the Canaries." He also predicted promotion for Norwich this season, adding, "I went to Carrow Road a couple of times, and I love the Canaries, and this is the year we're going to get promoted."

Jackman’s long-standing Norwich connection

Jackman’s ties to Norwich run deep through his mother, who still lives in the city. He has visited Carrow Road several times, including a trip at age 16. The actor owns a replica of the 1984 Milk Cup commemorative shirt, highlighting his long-term affection for the club.

In 2011, Jackman was invited by then-majority shareholder Delia Smith to become a celebrity investor but declined at the time. He explained, "I got a letter about a year ago saying, 'Being such a huge Norwich City fan would I like to be a celebrity investor?', like a small part-owner. I said, 'I think that's a little stretched, I've been to Carrow Road once, my mum took me', so I decided not to invest."
