Forson joins Hapoel Be'er Sheva on loan
Norwich City midfielder Amankwah Forson has completed a season-long loan move to Israeli club Hapoel Be'er Sheva. The 23-year-old Ghanaian international was given permission to leave Carrow Road this summer.
The transfer deadline in Israel closes on Wednesday, September 16, confirming the timing of the deal.
Forson’s loan follows Kangwa exit
Hapoel Be'er Sheva signed Forson as a direct replacement for Kings Kangwa, who recently moved to Panathinaikos. The Israeli side identified Forson to fill the gap left by Kangwa’s departure.
This move offers Forson a chance to gain regular first-team football after being told he was free to find a new club by Norwich.
Other clubs interested in Forson
According to The Pink'un, Championship clubs Derby County and Blackburn Rovers showed interest in Forson. There was also reported interest from clubs in Germany, Austria and Spain.
Despite these options, Forson opted for the loan move to Israel, where he will look to make an impact this season.
