Clement's Strategy for Norwich's Attack
Mathias Kvistgaarden is a totally different player now for Norwich City as Philippe Clement plans for life without injured hot shot Mo Toure.
The Australian international's prolific start to the Championship season was cruelly halted by needing shoulder surgery that will sideline him until January.
Kvistgaarden got the nod to start at Swansea before fit-again rival Jovon Makama's late introduction in a 2-1 weekend defeat.
Kvistgaarden's Transformation Under Pressure
The Dane, who earned a surprise second cap for his country over the recent international period after being drafted in for a 1-0 Nations League match in Wales, saw his City debut season hampered by injury following a big-money move from Brondby.
His confidence is good, said Clement. He's a totally different player than six months ago, where he was struggling with his knee at that moment, and the medical staff did a really good job in these six months to get that problem away.
He's much fitter now. He creates a lot of problems for the other defences, so now I'm really pleased with how Matty has performed in the last couple of weeks.
Makama's Potential Impact on the Game
Makama could have earned City a point at the leaders with a looping late header over the stranded Lawrence Vigouroux that cleared the home bar.
Clement noted, he could have had a really, really big moment if this header was a little bit lower, and to score the decisive goal would have given him a big boost.
With the Canaries facing Southampton at Carrow Road on Wednesday, Clement emphasized the importance of getting points, stating, it's not pre-season anymore, where you can make choices to give minutes to somebody to gain rhythm.
