Canaries Set for Historic Plough Lane Clash

Norwich City are gearing up for their inaugural visit to AFC Wimbledon's new Plough Lane as part of their pre-season preparations for the upcoming Championship campaign.

Norwich City are set for their first-ever trip to the new Plough Lane after confirming a pre-season game against League One side AFC Wimbledon.

The Canaries will travel to South West London on Wednesday, July 22 as part of their preparations for the 2026/27 Championship campaign. The game will be open to supporters and is expected to form part of a wider training camp in the capital for Philippe Clement's side.

Last Encounter: City vs. Wimbledon

Wimbledon finished 19th in their first season back in League One after three years. The last meeting between the sides came in February 2004, when City ran out 1-0 winners courtesy of Darren Huckerby's first-half strike.

Confirmed Pre-Season Fixtures for City

City confirmed the first batch of their pre-season fixtures on Tuesday, with three behind-closed-doors matches at Colney against King's Lynn, Colchester United, and Cambridge all confirmed. Clement's side will host La Liga side Osasuna at Carrow Road on Saturday, August 1, just a week before competitive action begins in the first round of the Carabao Cup.
