Miles Bracking Joins Hornchurch on Loan
Norwich City youngster Miles Bracking has joined National League side Hornchurch on a short-term loan deal. This marks the first senior loan move of the teenage midfielder's career, having been a regular at development level for the Canaries.
Hornchurch's Historic Season Begins
Bracking joins the Urchins just weeks into their first-ever season in England's fifth tier, having secured historic promotion via the play-offs last season after beating Torquay United 3-2 in the final. They have made a strong start to life in the National League, winning two of their opening three games, defeating Kidderminster Harriers and Barrow before losing to Carlisle last weekend.
Bracking's Potential Debut Tonight
The 19-year-old could make his Hornchurch debut this evening after being named on the bench for the clash against Woking. He has been handed the number 26 shirt. Bracking has progressed through the academy at Colney to feature for both the Under-18s and Under-21s, signing his first professional contract at Carrow Road in July 2024.
He made 14 appearances last season across Premier League 2 and the Premier League Cup, scoring once in a 1-1 draw with Sunderland last December. Bracking has already featured twice for City's Under-21s this term, playing all 90 minutes in a 1-0 away win at Middlesbrough last Sunday and featuring against his new side Hornchurch in the Canaries National League Cup Group B win in mid-August.
He follows fellow youngsters Ken Aboh and Uriah Djedje in securing non-league loan moves this window, while Dylan Jones has returned to League Two side Tranmere Rovers.
