Danny Batth Joins Millwall
Danny Batth's old school credentials have landed the former Norwich City defender a Championship move to Alex Neil's Millwall. The Lions missed out on the play-offs last season, finishing third under City's former Wembley winner Neil.
Batth has signed a one-year deal following a short pre-season trial and reunites with Neil after their previous stint at Sunderland. The 35-year-old made 16 league appearances for the Canaries in the 2023/24 season before moving to Blackburn on a free.

"He's an old-fashioned centre back. Danny will go and put his head on it. He's aggressive. He'll talk," said Neil. "We've already got good cover in that position, but we just need to make sure that we don't leave ourselves short."
Youngster Kamarl Grant has now joined Bromley, but Batth has clocked up more than 500 senior appearances since his breakthrough at boyhood club Wolves. "You know when you come to Millwall what it is about," he told his new club's official channels. "It is a tough game. You're never going to get anything easy. That sits well with me and being part of it now I think I can add to that."

Philippe Clement takes Norwich to Millwall in the Canaries' first Championship away game on August 22. City stormed to an impressive 2-1 Easter Monday victory in last season's corresponding fixture.
Batth is the seventh new signing for Neil's Lions this summer and was an unused substitute as they rounded off their pre-season with a 1-0 friendly win over Royal Antwerp at the Den. "When you're trying to introduce five or six, that's when it starts to dilute the message a little bit," Neil noted, as reported by The Pink'un.
